India Insights Study Tour 2015

The India Insights Study Tour 2015 included 15 days of adventure and learning across the north of India, with a focus on the development challenges facing the world’s largest democracy. The tour explored Delhi, Agra (home of Taj Mahal) and Mumbai, giving you the opportunity to:

  • join site visits to non-governmental organisations – Asha SocietyAtma and Salaam Baalak Trust
  • participate in regular group discussions, briefings and de-briefings
  • enjoy a home-stay in South Delhi
  • see the Taj Mahal and the ancient Agra Fort
  • visit the Kingdom of Dreams – Bollywood’s answer to Broadway.

If you are a student, make sure you check with your host institutions if you can gain academic credit for the study tour. Previous participants have been eligible, and Generate Worldwide and Young Opportunities Australia will be happy to assist you with the necessary information or documents.

Also, have a look at the volunteer opportunities available with Atma. You never know where the connections you make on this study tour will take you.
