Most classes run during the week between 10am and 4pm but they also offer weekend and evening classes if you are working. You can enrol in anything from a two-day course to a 100-day course.
Group Hindi Classes
All group classes are Rs. 350 per hour. This is the most affordable option and gives you the chance to learn with other enthusiastic students.
Private Hindi Classes
You can take one-on-one classes at both locations or arrange for a HindiGuru teacher to teach you in the comfort of your own home, or wherever you might be staying. Prices vary slightly depending on the location of your private lessons.
- private lessons at the Malviya Nagar classrooms are Rs. 575 per hour
- private lessons at the Gurgaon class rooms are Rs. 625 per hour

- group online classes cost US$9 per hour
- one-on-one online classes cost US$12 hour.
The advantage of the virtual classroom is that you have easy access to all of HindiGuru’s existing course materials, and can enjoy more interactive lessons. Compared to other providers of online class, HindiGuru is very affordable and also offers the addition of group classes online, which other online providers often don’t.
It’s online classes are about half the price of Zabaan’s. However, Zabaan has a slightly higher reputation for quality. Also note that HindiGuru asks that you pay for online lessons by bank transfer.
Asia Options has more options to help you study Hindi online.
Tuition
HindiGuru tries to adapt its teaching style to the needs of each class. This is great if you know how you like to learn may not be the best option for you if you prefer more structure to your lessons.
The school’s teachers – through years of experience – have developed HindiGuru’s own teaching materials, textbooks and exercises. Where possible, it also tries to incorporate real life interactions into your learning experience. For example in some classes, HindiGuru takes you out onto the streets and records you interacting with locals with no interruptions from teachers. You and your class then take the recordings back to the classroom to listen to and discuss.
Reputation
HindiGuru has a great reputation as a accessible and enjoyable place to study. With competitive fees and good standard of tuition it is very popular with short-term and long-term students, travellers and long-term residents alike. It’s classes in the business district of Gurgaon are taken by business people and executives.
Atmosphere
The fun, relaxed and low-stress atmosphere is what students at HindiGuru speak of most. It is highly flexible with its teaching arrangements to help accommodate new students or if you arrive in India mid-semester and want to start learning Hindi straight away. It also incorporates field excursion into your learning experience.
The only drawback is that it can become a little chaotic. With students coming and going frequently, the teachers often repeat lessons for the benefit of the new arrivals meaning you are stuck covering the same ground. This can become frustrating if you are there for a while and want to keep progressing with your Hindi.
Nevertheless, the instructors are amazingly friendly and accommodating, everyone is very flexible about learning and teaching.
