Feel free to share with us a cool program you have experienced, including an internship or language school, or what you have been able to achieve through learning an Asian language and living in Asia. Maybe you’ve taught English in Seoul, starred on Chinese TV or received a scholarship to study in Jakarta.
Then tell us about your experience but also what tips and other important information you wish you knew before you set sail to Asia.
Articles on Asia Options are typically 700-1000 words long and subheadings are preferable. Please also add 1-2 JPEG photos to accompany your article, as well as 3-4 line bio and profile picture. Podcasts and video blogs are also welcome!

Below is a general but flexible overview of what the position entails:
Asia Options is looking for an outstanding individual to manage and edit the Korea section of our site. We need someone who has first hand experience of working, studying and leading in Korea to build our collection of interesting and creative content. The candidate will have direct experience in the region and can provide up to date information on initiatives, programs and opportunities.
A) Contribute one article a month:
i. Personal reflection (your experience studying/working/volunteering in Korea)
ii. Interview a friend or professional with Korea experience
iii. Feature article with useful tips for Australians engaging with Korea (ie. finding internships in China, learning Chinese etc)
iv. Summary of a study, work or leadership related opportunity in Korea (ie. Studying at Seoul National University on a Hamer Scholarship)
v. Contact young Australians with ‘Korean experience’ to pen an article or contribute a video to the website. Contact can be made via Linkedin, Facebook, cold emails, networking events, personal network etc.
B) Liaise with Asia Options Korean Correspondents to source Korean content
C) Edit articles on the Korean section of the website
D) Manage and develop the Korean Language Program Review section of the website
E) Develop relationships with key stakeholders through personal relations and/or social media.
F) Attend a monthly team meeting via Skype
Note: Candidates who can contribute to the team more than the minimum will be highly regarded.

– Excellent writing and editing skills
– Excellent research skills
– Reliable team player
– Eagerness to collaborate, share skills and learn
– Study/work/leadership experience in Korea
– A strong network of Australian contacts currently engaging with Korea.
– Can commit to the position for the next 6-12 months (desirable)
– Established WordPress website management skills or a willingness to develop these skills.
